In January 2021, Katy Knoer and her husband, Dietrich, acquired the Give Thanks Bakery from its founder, Gerald Matthes, who is now enjoying his retirement. As long time friends of the Matthes Family and customers of Give Thanks Bakery, Katy and Dietrich are excited to continue the rich tradition built since 1998.
"Our love of food, a passion for cooking and baking, and the German-American heritage in our family, are the foundation of our desire to usher the Bakery into a new chapter. Our first priority as a small business is to bring joy and well-being to our community by providing wholesome and nutritious baked goods to everyone. We are often asked if we carry Gluten Free Items...the answer is YES, but we are not a certified GF bakery due to environmental flour in our facility. However, we offer the following:
