Owner

Dietrich Knoer

Dietrich grew up in a small village outside of Frankfurt, Germany where he would walk to the bakery, butcher and green grocer located in the town center. After completing K-12 school, military service and college education, he left Germany to pursue his life's dreams in the US. He received a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School at Dartmouth where he met his classmate Katy. Married immediately following graduation from business school in 1996, he and Katy started their careers and a family. Dietrich pursued a career in the commercial real estate industry while being a father to their 5 children. His career took the family to different places, including Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix, and a 4-year stay in London, England. Dietrich's love for cooking, baking, and hospitality is influenced by the experiences from his travels through life and by his family heritage in Europe. Baking Christmas Stollen and other German Holiday specialities has been Dietrich's passion for many years!
