Jean-Marc was born in Nice, France and initially studied Accounting. But his passion for the culinary industry inspired him to enroll in Pastry School in Nice where he obtained a degree as a pastry chef and chocolatier. Jean-Marc moved to Michigan in the 1990's and was an initial collaborator with Gerald Matthes in the establishment of the Give Thanks Bakery in 1998. He enjoyed sojourns at Le Petit Prince in Birmingham and as an owner/operator in Romeo before returning to Give Thanks Bakery in 2012. His creativity and talent are evident in the signature Sacher torte, the classic Eclair and our annual Buche de Noel, among many other fine European pastries.

We are not a certified gluten-free bakery and while our professionals use common sense practices to avoid cross-contamination, we have a lot of environmental flour in our space.
